It’s surprising that I have see today a lot of web sites and blogs that doesn’t have right and Search Engine optimized headings and title tags on own web sites. This isn’t good, not just because of SEO – this kind of web sites or blogs looks like they are created by absolute beginners and webmaster amateurs!

Title Tags

We will start with Title tags on your own web sites. Optimizing these tags, you can easily improve overall search engine rankings and better popularity of your web site. I have seen a lot of web sites, specially blogs that doesn’t have correct tags in their sites and pages.

• WRONG Title Tags: YOURSITE | TITLE, YOURSITE or YOURSITE – TITLE
• RIGHT Title Tags shoul’d be like: TITLE or TITLE | YOURSITE. Note that TITLE means your content or page full title and YOURSITE means your site or blog name.

Web site Headings

It’s really shame that I have seen so much web sites and blogs with absolutelly wrong headings. A lot of webmaster and blogger beginners uses mistakes like putting images without alt or title tags and even flash animations as own headers! Yes, an image can make your site look more distinctive but in terms of SEO images for headings and menus are a big mistake

This is very bad because search engines might have problems with crawling of these web sites, reading their content and doesn’t get right and most functional results for sure!

Conclusions

A lot of webmasters and beginners make these beginner mistakes. Because of them, they can loose a lot of quality traffic from main search engines on the world and by that way decrase own earnings and advertisement revenues on own sites. Take care with your Headings, Title tags and Keywords for best effect and most productive and professional sites!
