As you probably know, these two services are one of the main social-media communities around the internet. It’s always good to have a connection on your blog too with these two services. Connect Facebook or Twitter with your Blog Comments - Wordpress - Blogger

The main purpose and most popular one is the comment integration, so that your visitors can easily place a comments on your blog using their own Facebook or Twitter account information – without any additional registrations to your blog or something like that. Actually, you can see how it works on this blog, just below this post.

Why to Use This on my Blog?

There’re so many reasons why you should connect Facebook or Twitter with your blog to allow your visitors to login and post the comments with their own accounts. If they’re logged in the Facebook, they’ll be automatically logged in your blog through Facebook Connect too.

  • Simplicity – Allow your visitors to easily login to your blog and post a comments using their own Facebook or Twitter accounts in a seconds.
  • Pro Effect – This leaves the “professional” impression to your blog. Automatically forcing your visitors to like and thrust your blog more and more.

How to Connect Facebook or Twitter signup with your Blog?

Below, I’ll show you the most effective ways to allow your visitors to login and post a comments on your blog using Facebook or Twitter accounts.

How to Add Facebook Connect or Twitter to my Blog?

You can use the following functions and opportunities to connect your blog with the Facebook and allow your visitors to post comments on your blog using their own Facebook accounts.

  • WP FacebookConnect (Wordpress) – Adds Facebook functionality to Wordpress using the Facebook Connect APIs. It’s recommended if you want to connect your blog with Facebook quickly and easily.
  • IntenseDebate – Enhance and encourage conversation on your blog or website. Allows you to add a full-featured commenting system for your blog. Allows you to create a connection with Twitter and Facebook. Currently supports most popular blogging systems, including support for Blogger (Blogspot) and of course Wordpress.
  • Disqus – Another full-featured third-party commenting system for your blog. Allows you to connect your blog comments with Facebook and Twitter and supports Blogger, Wordpress and other popular blogging systems too.

There’re other ways to do this, but I strongly recommend you to use some of these services. Note that you’ll be able to use only third-party services on the free-hosted blogging systems like Blogger, MovableType and so on…

In the other hand, you can see the official video tutorial from the Facebook below:

This website uses IntenseDebate comments, but they are not currently loaded because either your browser doesn't support JavaScript, or they didn't load fast enough.

There are a lot of multivariate tests ran on combining different applications, especially big ones like Facebook and Twitter. After reading about the tests I wanted to try it out, but I couldn't get it to work. Thanx for the post, it all works now.

Kind of misleading both i title and text. If I don't host my own blog these services are unavailable for me. I use wordpress.com and can not use any of the above mentioned services. If I use Blogger I can use the third alternativ but only if I use a special template.

The idea that you present is valuable since I believe that the more you connect services and the easier you make it for the user to collaborate the more communication and dialog will occur. But it is really sad that these services are valid for self-hosting.
