Did you know that guys at Bethesda allows you to download the older Elder Scrolls titles. Including the first one The Elder Scrolls: Arena and The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall. These games are created for the older windows operating systems. With some additional software installation, you can make them run on the modern systems.
These games are completely free for you. You can download both games and play them on your computer completely for free. Also, my recommendation is to download a little application called DosBox, which can emulate DOS under your modern operating system like Windows Vista or Windows 7.
The Elder Scrolls: Arena
It is the first game in the Elder Scrolls series. It is a first-person computer role-playing game for MS-DOS, developed by Bethesda Softworks and released in 1994.

The game is played from a first-person perspective. Combat is performed by using the mouse and dragging the cursor across the screen to attack if a melee weapon is used. Magic is used by cycling through a magic menu found by clicking the appropriate button on the main game screen, then clicking the spell to be used and its target.
