Forums requires loyal visitors which you need to attract to be active daily. Forum Scripts are based usually on registration, and to be honest I think that more visitors doesn’t like forums, specially beginners. That’s because Forums are usually more complicated to navigate through than web sites, specially blogs. But of course, you can create interesting and attractive forum and try to attract visitors and members on it. Once they find your forum useful and interesting, they will become your constant visitors, and of course, more visitors means more money!

Note that for every site, you need to have quality contents to attract more visitors! I also recommend you to update your sites as much as you can, because by this way you get more rankings in search engines and of course more traffic from those!
