Adobe Photoshop Express

Photoshop Express is relatively new online free tool from mighty Adobe. It’s actually free and professional online photo editor! As you probably know, Photoshop is the most popular and most effective photo editor for your desktop computer! This version is for sure the most professional online photo editor which you can use completely for free!

Photoshop Express is some kind of Lite version of Photoshop. Allowing you all basic photo editing tools and more features that can be included in online photo editors. Good thing is that Adobe gives you free 2 GB hosting for your images. Of course, because of online interface, you can easily access your photos and re-edit them again from any computer or mobile (if supported) with internet connection.

The basic online editor will only work on JPEG images up to about 2880×2880 pixels (about 8 megapixels). If the photo you upload with a web browser is larger, then it will be made smaller at Photoshop.com when you edit it.

Membership Types

The Photoshop Express service is currently available at two levels of membership: Basic and Plus. The Basic level is free with the option to purchase additional storage space starting at $19.99 per year. The Plus level starts at $49.99 per year and also provides the option purchase additional storage space for an additional annual fee.

Desktop Support (AIR)

Adobe Photoshop Express gives you opportunity to download and install one small and easy application in AIR interface to upload images from your desktop to Photoshop dot com. This small application allows you to edit your account settings, create new albums and even more features. I hope that Adobe would create an AIR application which would allows you to edit your photos at Photoshop.com from desktop!

Everything is not Great

Well, everything is not great for this application. I think that biggest lack is that Photoshop Express supports only .JPEG files to be uploaded and edited in it. Well, the application is still in beta stage – I’d like to see support for common types support like PNG, GIF or original PSD files in future upgrades of this application.

Also, I’d like to see support for higher size pictures. Size of 2880×2880 pixels is for sure more than enough for more users – but I’d like to see more in the future.

Conclusion

Photoshop Express is for sure one of the top-quality and well branded professional online photo editor. This application has all main functions and features most users are looking for if they want to edit their pictures online wherever they are. 2 GB of space, ~8 MP image sizes and a lot of features comes completely for free!

Only real lack of this application is that supports only JPEG file types! I can’t find any one more really! Enjoy using this professional online editor from mighty Adobe!
